Shed
github.com/muxshed/shed →Stream once, go everywhere
WHAT IT SOLVES
Multi-platform streaming means either paying per-channel for cloud services like Restream, or wrestling with Nginx + RTMP configs yourself. Both suck.
WHY IT'S INTERESTING
Not just restreaming — a live studio
Shed isn't just a stream relay. It handles multiple input sources, scene switching, layout control, and even VOD scheduling. It's closer to an open-source production studio than a simple restreamer.
Rust core, Docker-ready
The core is built in Rust with modular crates, supporting WHIP and H.264 ingestion. It has headless mode, OpenAPI endpoints, and 70 commits across 13 releases. The latest fix is specifically about H.264 profile diagnostics — that's maintainer-level attention.
TECH GUESS
Rust for the core streaming engine, Docker for deployment. The studio frontend looks like it could be Svelte or React based on the repo structure.
